March 15, 2018, Eindhoven - Sodexo will become the facilities partner of the Brainport Industries Campus (BIC).
To this end, both parties have concluded a cooperation agreement. A multi-year contract for a special location: the ‘Factory of the Future’ in Eindhoven, where suppliers in the high-tech manufacturing industry innovate and produce together and where Sodexo will offer an innovative way of service.
The showroom of the high-tech manufacturing industry will also be the showroom of Facility Management 3.0. From May 2018, Sodexo will provide the best possible experience and service with catering, cleaning and reception services, so that the companies and their residents can enjoy their work and stay at Brainport Industries Campus.
Sodexo is continuously looking for innovative solutions to match its services even better with the Quality of Life of its customers and guests. To this end, Sodexo has its own innovation hub to develop new services and the company regularly innovates together with the customer, in co-creations. Innovation is key for Sodexo, and where better to do this than in the heart of the smartest region in the world? By putting innovation at the heart of the organisation, Sodexo gives shape to its sustainability ambitions. We guarantee every development in the Better Tomorrow Plan, so Sodexo takes its responsibility for a better future. This fits perfectly with the set-up of Brainport Industries Campus. Every aspect of the campus is weighed up to see how it can be realised sustainably. This goes further than minimising the impact on the environment. The aim is to develop new business cases from innovations in the field of sustainability.
In the search for the service partner, Brink Management/Advice together with client VoF BIC challenged the market to work together, in an innovative way, to design the best fitting service at Brainport Industries Campus. By means of a pitch and open dialogue, we managed to come up with a concept that enables the tenants and visitors of Brainport Industries Campus to create an environment in which innovation can take place.
“With the arrival, a renewed facility services concept is taking shape. Sodexo does more than cleaning and catering. They contribute to the ecosystem and ensure optimal working conditions,” says Ferdinand Gremmen, Director of Royal VolkerWessels company SDK Vastgoed, on behalf of VoF BIC. “We are therefore very pleased to welcome them as a tenant and partner in the community.”
Sander Graft, CEO Corporate Services Benelux & Nordics at Sodexo: “We are proud to be an exclusive part of the BIC-picture as a facilities and hospitality partner! With this contract, we contribute our expertise to the development of the Netherlands, especially this intelligent region, as an innovative engine of Europe.
Just like every other company on campus, we are committed to the campus idea of daring to share, developing together and inspiring each other. Our own Katalyst LAB will be in the middle of the Atrium where we will develop specific service concepts in co-creation with the tenants and our partners. The diversity within Brainport Industries Campus, consisting of corporates, startups and students, enables us – through this unique collaboration – to connect, grow and realise competitive differences to develop towards Facility Management 3.0. A beautiful and exciting challenge that we enjoy taking on.”
Bas Niese, Senior Manager Brink Management/Advice, part of Brink Group: “The process of creating the ideal service partner for BIC has been successful. Together with BIC, we have offered market parties the opportunity to come up with a vision on services that make a direct contribution in the field of innovation for the manufacturing industry. For BIC, the active search for solutions together and the implementation of the service concept has resulted in a good basis of trust
