Fluke, worldwide marketleader in the production, distribution and maintenance of test and measurement instruments and software, will move to Brainport Industries Campus (BIC) at the end of 2020. With the move, the company will put an end to working at five different locations in the Netherlands; all activities will come together on more than 10,000 square metres in BIC.
Fluke will have access to laboratory spaces, warehouse facilities and office space at Brainport Industries Campus. There will also be an Experience Centre adjacent to BIC’s central Atrium. For Ferdinand Gremmen, Director SDK Vastgoed and responsible for BIC, Fluke is an ideal new tenant: “Fluke certainly fits in with the mission of BIC as a whole, but there are concrete opportunities for cooperation with the other BIC residents already.
For Fluke itself, the proximity of technical talent was one of the crucial factors in the decision to move to Brainport Industries Campus. CFO Jeroen van de Wiel: “How BIC already shows the interaction between the business community, the educators and the students is tremendously inspiring. I expect that we will benefit a lot by becoming part of that working environment. BIC also offers facilities that meet the latest requirements, and – thanks to the modular construction concept – we can realise almost all housing options.”
Gremmen adds that the clear vision, which Fluke uses to look at the market, can mean a lot to BIC and its tenants. “I expect that we are all going to enjoy the enormous amount of knowledge and contacts that Fluke brings. And vice versa, that Fluke will make use of the people and companies that are already here. It’s partly thanks to Fluke that our ecosystem is improving.”
